The 4th Generation Cemented Carbide – Anti-corrosion Cemented Carbide

To solve the weakness of cemented carbide in electro-machining and grinding, CERM has successfully developed the 4th generation cemented carbide with higher performance in resistance against corrosion after years’ unremitting efforts. When facing erosion from the outside, the carbide will activate its anti-corrosion mechanism, and creates a protective layer on the surface, thus enjoys a much higher service life.

Anti-corrosion Test

Anti-corrosion test in weight loss condition (10% HCl solution)

Electrochemical anti- corrosion test

The above two test results show that the 4th generation cemented carbide has much higher anti-corrosion ability. Before the binder cobalt is broken down, the anti-corrosion material itself will create a protective layer consistently, thus decreasing the corrosion rate obviously.

GF Series — Materials for Stamping Motor Core

Designed for stamping molds under heavy-duty condition, GF series is combined with medium cobalt content and mixed crystal powder formula to gain much better resistance to anti-impaction, anti-shock, and corrosion, compared with what traditional materials can do. Thus the corrosion and fraction on the surface of finished carbide products will be effectively improved.

GF30T

With high hardness and good abrasive resistance but low anti-shock resistance, GF30T is suitable for stamping micro motor core which has higher requirement.

GF40H

With high hardness, abrasive resistance and toughness, GF40H is mainly used for producing conventional Y series iron core of motor rotor.

GF50H

With good toughness and anti-shock resistance, GF50T is suitable for producing brushless motor and iron core of sevor motor.

GF55HH

With excellent anti- shock resistance, GF55H is suitable for stamping thick mold at low speed.

GA Series—Materials for Stamping Lead Frame and Electronic Connector

GA series provides quality solutions for stamping SPCC, steel belt, beryllium copper belt and 304 stainless steel and other electronic components at high speed. This series is widely recommended by PG component manufacturers due to its high reputation in lead frame and connector industry.

GA10H

Able to lower the alloy’s affinity to the machined materials and prevent mold sticking, GA10H is suitable for stamping soft materials like pure steel, pure copper and SPCC at high speed.

GA20

With good versatility and toughness, GA20 is suitable for stamping thin stainless steel plate and copper plate.

Tipping Resistance Test

The test shows that GA20 with fine grain size will make the blade point 46% thinner and much sharper, compared with what traditional material can do. GA20 controls the WC size distribution by strengthening technology to maintain hardness and toughness, as well as promote resistance to corrosion and tipping.
